hi got a problem that needs to be fixed quickly. dont ask how but diesel has been used instead of unleaded to fill my nsr up. can some one please give me step by step instructions on how to get it out. cheers

Turn the petrol tap off and then drain the float bowl. Then open the tap with a suitable pipe attached into a can and let it all run out the tap - don't forget reserve as well. I'd be disinclined to shake/tip the tank for fear of disturbing any crap in the bottom if it's more than a couple of years old..

Then fill with u/l and run as normal. Any small amount left in there will be well diluted and as it's a stroker a bit more smoke won't hurt.


The outcome of what's been done isn't nearly as bad as filling a diesel with petrol

hi turned the fuel tap of how do i empty the float bowl and where is it? cheers

on the carbs. There is usually a drain screw on the bottom of each carb which you can use to drain it.

thanks but already sorted it out. now all im wondering about is how long the diesel taste in my mouth is gonna last for lmao cheers

If you have consumed enough diesel you wait till you go number1, well, that's what happens to me anyway, a derv smell Laughing
