Hi
Right i need to know how to alter the biting point of my clutch, when i alter it at the end where the lever is when i put it in gear it stalls not enough clutch on?
Anyway i have to release my clutch lever nearly all the way out and its a pain in the rear as my little finger allways catches on the ball of the lever and the glove gets caught.
How can i alter it so i only have to let it out about untill i can get the bite point?
Will i follow the cabel down and tighten it up something up?
rs125 btw
cheers people.

Hi

There is an adjuster down on the clutch cover. This might need adjusting. I will dig out some instructions when I get home.

All the best

i wrote this out for a Suzuki but it should sort you out....

Back the adjusters right off at both ends of the cable.

On the sprocket cover, remove the rubber bung. Loosen the locknut with a ring spanner and screw the grub screw in until it bites on the end of the clutch push-rod, then back it off 1/4 of a turn. Tighten locknut.

Take up adjustment on cable at the sprocket cover end while holding the clutch lever - you'll feel it starting to get pulled tight. When it's pulled back to about 10mm from fully 'home', tighten the locknut on the cable adjuster at the sprocket cover.

Now make final adjustments at the lever end leaving a little slack - this'll give you something to play with if it tightens in use like if you're crawling through heavy traffic.
