 |
|
Right, i have my MOT re-test tomorow morning, it failed on a number of things that have now been rectified... apart from the last one. The previous owner decided it would be fun to drill out a few holes in the back of the silencer... it has now failed the MOT on them.
Now before you ask, i dont know if it is because the MOT station deemed the exhaust to be "too loud", or because it just has holes in it...
My question is, how should i go about getting this through MOT tomorow morning? So far the best i can come up with is GumGum Anyone had similar experiences? or is able to pass on valuable tips? ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...

make the most of the free retest.
There not doing them any more (unless you keep the vehicle at the garage for work to be done)
And the MOT price went up by a tenner on Monday. !!! ____________________ Swaffs Photography |

My 19 year old Honda Superdream had a rust hole the size of a 50p on the silencer. I pop rivetted a piece of old paint-tin over the top. The mechanic siad that it was fine, it did however fail on several minor electrical faults tho
It might depend on how tatty the bike is as to whether you want a bit of dulux' finest bandaging your exhaust!! |

My Arc welder would simply set the exhaust on fire surely...
If you use a "fat" welding rod and set your amp's down low you can get it to fill holes, its not the best way or the proper way but if your unsure with the welder then it will work for hole filling. ____________________ "Its Better To Burn Out Than Fade Away!!!!!!" "Lifes a bitch and then you Die"
