 |
|
Just thought I'd ask.....
Buying, insuring, parts, servicing, un-forseen costs, extras...
There are 3 folk that ride bikes at my work and I've got to wonder WHAT they do and HOW MUCH they get paid as there bikes are tricked out to F*** and always spotless...
For me, the bike didn't cost much, say £2000-ish (give or take a few hundred ) for a 98 Ninja 600.
So far I've spent
£300 on insurance for the year.
£100 on extras, security + bike cover.
£150 for service and parts.
And I've got planned another £300-ish worth of stuff coming in the next few weeks (Race can, R&G bungs, new front tyre)
So how much do you lot spend? And is it worth it?
For me it's worth every penny! ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

pay £1200 insurance
Spent around £100 for pads, oils and the odd tool.
PETROL!! Around £30 a week as I use the bike too much but its worth every penny
get around 105 miles per tank from a £13-14 fill up (estimate)
And then there's the cleaning products.. atleast another £100 gone right there inc chain lube, wd40 etc ____________________ 2004 RSV Factory

Anyone want to buy a bike?
I spent more on a house marriage and divorce but that never gave me as much fun or allowed my to meet so many nice folks or birds.

Mine is quite expensive (big miles)
£0065 - Road Tax? (something like that)
£0380 - Insurance
£1200 - Servicing (nearly 4 per year, 8000 miles each)
£0760 - Tyres (4 x BT020's @ £190 a pair)
£2100 - Petrol per year (30k miles) (£45 per week)
£1000 - Fix it fund (I have had 2 accidents with uninsured drivers)
£2000 - Repayments for Bike.
£0600 - Fun Stuff (intercom, music, Bike Mags etc)
Grand Total - £8105
I couldn't bring myself to include the drinks and food consumed due to using the bike. Probably wouldn't make that much difference. ____________________ Travelling around the world...a bit at a time. Where am I now? / Visit my BLOG
