Cheerz mate, don't think it's anything serious as bike's performance is fine.
I'll try pulling the clutch in nd see what happens, but is does it in neutral on tick over.
Bikes only got 5k mile on it so I don't think it's the CCT, and I've been told that the CCT it a distinct sound.
This definately sounds like a tapit.
I'm just one of those people when they here a knocking on a car or bike I have to get to the bottom of it coz it gets on my tits.
Perhaps it's a shrink and not a mechanic I need. |

CBRs rattle.
I'd ignore it unless it gets worse. |

How long you had yours for Bendy ?
Happy with it or any plans for owt new?
Had a quick go on my mates GSXR 1000 K5 the day. I did not want to like, but he forced me to
Didn't open it up or owt (just up to 70 on a twistie) , was affraid, not so much of the power, more the chance of knacking/crashing/dropping it.
What I did notice was the craftmanship, very thin plastics, and it all just did not feel as tough as me CBR. |

Had it for two and a half years and no, not really got any plans to change.
If I hadn't got into trackdays, I maybe would have changed it by now (probably for a Speed Triple or some big naked thing) but it's still better than I am so there's no reason to change. |

Yep it sounds like a cam chain tensioner to me too.
The engines did get noisier in general as the bikes got newer, the garage will probably tell you it's down to how close the tolerances are in the engine.
If you fancy a litre bike I can recommend the 1000RR. |
