... heres the problem. When I put my Handle bars straight, and I stand at the front of the bike, my front wheel slighty goes off to my right.
I had noticed this before and thought that the front fender was bent, but is actually fine and is the wheel that makes it look bent.
However if I straighten the wheel, the forks and wheel are straight, yet the handle bars nd fender point slightly to the right.
Problem I have is the bike is still under warrinty, just. But I'm in Newcastle and the Dealer is in Stockton, and they want the bike in before 9.30 and will have it back for 4.00 pm. It's just that I don't fancy sitting around all day twiddling me thumbs.
My question is, is this easy to sort yer self, or if I take to a garage, any ideas how much they will charge??? |

It sound like the forks are twisted in the yokes, if you want to do it yourself its not hard, but you do need to get the front end off the ground (front paddock stand, hoist of a rafter or good old trolley jack plus a mate to hold it steady.)
Once the load is off, loosen all the clamp bolts in the yokes, the stem nut/bolt, and the front axle, its also worth loosening the mudguard bolts as well. when everything is loose, start retightening from the bottom up, this will usually line every thing up on its own if the misalignement is small, if its way out you can align everything by eye before you start tightening.
If it makes no difference, you may have a twisted bottom yoke, which is tricky to find for sure without some reasonably accurate measuring gear. ____________________ Trust me, I`m an engineer
