I hate winter, last year I took my 125 in to the living room when it was blowing a gale. I don't think i'll get away with taking the 3 bikes I have now in.
But i'll try |

Think yourselves lucky that you get the option of riding through the winter!!
Here in Finland there is only about a month or two left of the biking season, then we've got months of sub -20C, ice, snow and perpetual darkness! Even after a few years living here it takes a bit of adjustment!
Having said that, there are always snowboards and snowmobiles to play with and ice speedway and hockey to watch - so its not as bad as it sounds!! |

I'll be toasty warm & dry in a 5 series Beemer & the Busa will be toasty warm & dry in my heated garage & probably getting jealous of me working on my trusty old Mk II Guzzi Le Mans for next year's 2 months of summer. ____________________ I am me & you are he & we are all together. I'll be toasty and warm in the car thank you. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. To stop the garage becoming damp I place one of those low wattage electrical greenhouse heaters in the garage during the winter months. They operate on a thermostat so only come on when the temp drops below say 10 degrees and turn off when it reaches 15. They are ideal as you can leave them turned on 'standby' all the time and as they only kick out air at 20 degrees C they don't really effect your electricity bill |

When I were a lad, we had proper winters! There were only a few years in which there wasn't a white Christmas, and most winters had several feet of snow at least. Indeed one particularly bad one, there were reports of 40ft snowdrifts on Orkney!
Then I moved to England and I've yet to see a snowman taller than about 3 feet, and not an igloo in sight.
Last year was cold enough though, I think I learned my lesson with regards to windchill and freezing fog. ____________________ I must not be a troll...
