Right here's the problem.
When I first set off, it's usually ok. Then the first time I stop it seems to be groggy. I have to keep revs really low and it bursts into action. Also from normal starts it seems to be slow at acceleration.
I think it could be the fuel not getting round quickly enough, or something similar. But I'm a novice at engines so I'm hoping maybe G, Kickstart or The Old Geezer can gimme advice.
Thanks in advance |

I recently cleaned the sparkplug, and I mean clean!
Erm I toyed with the air filter today but to no avail. I will have a look at the carbs tomorrow. Oh and the engine temperature frequently comes on, what could be causing this? I think I'll have to get my Dad to inspect it all.
Cheers for your help Acid, any more help is greatly appreciated |

Now, this is something that the more experienced guys will know more about, but doesn't knocking/pinking/detonation cause high engine temps?
I confess to knowing nothing about each of those symptoms mentioned above - I just simply know the names!!!
Could be worth looking into
Perhaps Keith (Kickstart) could provide more insight into this. It's out of my depth I'm afraid. ____________________ Past: Honda NSR125R >> Kawasaki ER-5a2 >> Kawasaki ZZR-600e1 >> Suzuki GSXR-750Y >> Honda VTR 1000 Firestorm

Erm it's a 2t Motorhispania RYZ50, with no aftermarket exhaust. I'll have to show my Dad what you have said because my knowledge of bike engines and suchlike is limited.
Thanks alot |
