What you do is move all of your earth wires back to your battery.
Fit a motion sensor alarm.
Fit a bike coil, attach the plug lead to the frame.
Where the alarm wires go to the buzzer/noisy bit attatch the coil feed wires, so that when the alarm goes off it charges the coil and then promptlie discharges down the frame.
Now most bike coils will give you a nasty shock as we all know but if you take the buzzer out of the alarm they wont know its gone off until its to late!
They only try it once!

Fit a pressure switch inside your seat and attach the feed wires to a solanoid.
On the end of the solinoid attach a metal spike (barbed of coarse).
When some idiot sits on your bike the pressure swith will activate the solonoid and send the spike into the arse.
I have used this and the "shocking" alarm on my trikes in the past to great effect on the local chavs!

That would be a criminal offence? Not to mention the chavs might get one of those no win no fee lawyers to sue you for battery. Provocation is not a defence, and i don't think sending a spike up into someone's arse for sitting on your bike is a reasonable response.

I'd be more worried that they would get pissed off and kick it over. If I can ensure that no-one is taking it for a ride, and anyone tampering with anything is seen, I'm happy.

And of course, the white vans, well, that's what TPFT is for. Razz

Hey, i'm not saying what you did was wrong. I was just trying to warn you about your legal position should you encounter a litigious chav. Smile

I'd be too scared of forgetting to disarm it Sad But returning to my bike seeing a chav stuck to it via a metal spike while paramedics arrempt to remove him is a mental picture of sheer beauty.

Hang on, i'm sure you can buy seat covers that are only removable when you lift a seat for the storage underneath. what if you put one of those on with pins through it, i'm sure it'd deter your everage joy rider.
