Went down to Brighton today with Dom and Whitenoise.

Can't be arsed with a lengthy explanation but basically a car decided to smash my bike up.

Was riding down the road minding my own business when a car coming the other way decided to turn into a side road I was passing. Hit me square in the side of the front wheel (there are mesh markings from his grill on it) and I flew over the bonnet.

Bike is quite badly fecked and my foot isn't too good either - getting bigger and bigger. I think it got hit by the car.

The driver is getting done by the police.

That's about it really. No more riding for me for the near future. Wait to see what happens insurance-wise. I think I can see a bent fork in one of the pics that Mike took.

Cheers to Mike and Dom for their help Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Very much appreciated.

Feel free to post some pics Mike if you can be bothered.

That sucks. At least if he?'s getting done for dangerous driving, then it should speed up an insurance claim.

Get well soon.

Shit.

Glad you're okay. At least you have witnesses and it sounds like he's bang in the wrong.

Well, the weather's turning now, so sit back (in the warm, dry) and think of the compensation/insurance money ready for next Spring Thumbs Up

Jesus, sounds like a bad day for us all really.

My dad's bike decided it didn't want the chain on the sprocket any more, which was quite interesting, then my thermostat appears to have become U/S. Pretty minor, did get some good pics of the american chopper boys though!

aye was a major bummer to an otherwise good weekend, just very glad joe was ok, he could have come off a hell of a lot worse Crying or Very sad
first i heard of it was when i phoned joe to see where he was, only to be greeted with "shit i've been T-boned, the bikes fecked", finally managed to figure out where he was and ran a km to find him, got there about 10 mins after it happened, checked to make sure that joe was ok and then started to take pictures before anyone moved anything. the police arrive 5 mins later and started to get things sorted, once they had spoken to an independent witness who clearly said that the driver was at error, they where on joes side and i think did the driver for dangerous driving!

What i make out happened is if you look at picture "crash junction" joe was riding from right to left at 30 mph, in the inside lane (i know the road and its not one you want to speed on!) and the car came from where the black car is into the side street the picture was taken from, how joe tells it is it appears there was a car on the outside lane that blocked the turning in cars vision, and the car pulled in behind the car in the outside lane only to find joe there Evil or Very Mad the rest is shown in the pics! Crying or Very sad

after finding out the breakdown people would take and age to come we decided to make a move to mine for a brew, with coolent pissing from joes knackered radiator, and the bike just about ridable with a fairing flapping off, glad we made it there as i could give joe all the pics i took on CD for insurance purposes, and me and joe where able to relax in the pub till the recovery truck came to my place! Thumbs Up

the cheekist thing of it all was the driver asking joe for a fag after it happened with out even asking if joe was ok, hope he gets raped by his insurance! Middle Finger Evil or Very Mad Middle Finger

Hope the ankle isn't too bad mate and no other pains spring up, but get your arse to hospital tommorow to check it all out. Also hope that insurance won't be a pain in the arse and pay up well and quickly. but remember my bills you have to claim for

Action photography - £50
3 hours of my time - £90
tea making - £5
can of beer - £1
wooping joes arse at pool - thats a freebie! Laughing

hope your feeling better fella! Thumbs Up

TBH all i knew was that joe had been T-boned, and was speaking. When you hear about a biker being T-boned by a car, the rider is usually pretty fecked. he was by himself so figured he needed a mate there asap to help him out! what state was joe in? what to do with the bike? so feck off! Also their should be plenty of CCTV cameras in the area if I remember rightly, should help your case. I'm assuming he's being charged for driving without due care & attention. Can't see how the insurance companies could argue.
