I personall just hate driving cars as i went for 4 lessons and dreaded it.

You can start at 16, cheap, they look better than cars, dodge traffic and I have always been a two wheel person (Downhill, mountain biking etc). I like they way you could be going down a road and be the only bike.

For years I was into cars, and not interested in bikes in the slightest. Then near the beginning of this year, I suddenly started really wanting a bike and completely lost interest in cars. Twas like a switch in my head! So I went out and did my DAS, then bought my Triumph. Best thing I've ever done - love it to bits, and feel weird driving a car now. Infact, my car is now sat on the drive uninsured and unridden for god knows how long. If anyone wants a Ford Escort 1.8i then let me know

I was taken for a run on an original 92 'Blade when I was about 19 by a bloke that my girlfriend of the time knew, around Newcastle Under Lyme.

We went quite carefully at first, just looping a few roundabouts, to get a feel for the lean, but then a boy racer got up the side of us and revv'd his engine.....

I had never ever been so quick in my life, I was hanging on the the 'Blade owner's jacket for grim death while the loaned lid flapped around on my head as we left this souped up boy racer for dead!

After that cars seemed really, really dull!

i always wanted a bike. when kids were pretending to have car chases in the playground my mate and i were riding bikes. plus they are fast, cars are slow, they are involving, cars arent.

Wanted to have a bike since i was 12 ended up getting a car at 17 and decided this year it was now or never. So much fun.

been around bikes all my life, up until few years ago my dad always had a bike, and my brother used ride bikes. plus was a 6 mile trip to college each day and i hate trains so i got a bike. I've no interest at the mo in cars, will take lessons and my test soon, both i'll probably just keep the bike still.

My dad has always had bikes, so naturally he got me one when I was a youngster. Been on them ever since.

Never plan to start driving either. The feel of a bike is too good to even bother with anything else.

the fact that unlike cars, when you ride a bike you Represents somthing thats why in a car you dont nod at every other car driver....plus my little 400cc zxr will beat your "2 litre" skyline off the lights......

only got into cars when i started a family at the tende age of 17 and a half, so bikes sort of took a back seat then and cars took over now the kids are grown up i,m getting back into bikes.

For me it was clinging on to the back of my dad's old MZ and my mums C90 when I was about 8. Loved every minute of it. Was kinda cool going to school on the back of a bike! Then we moved to within walking distance

i needed some transport as 16 so a moped was the only think i could get and then i loved it and decided to upgrade to a RS125 and now ive decided to pass my test and get something bigger, i got into to it due to the law really as it you could drive a car a 16 i might have done that!! defernetly wouldnt now though!

Couldn't afford a car, could afford a 125. Parents always had bikes.

Went from there, I'm now on my 4th bike, my second trackday and my 2nd years NCB.
