Hi
Free if under warrenty.
Otherwise, say £5~£30 for the bearings (a set for the car were £30, so should be less needing only 1/4 of as many, but bike spares cost more). Full gasket set, say £50 at OE prices. Say 3 labour hours getting the engine out / in. Say same again for the work (assuming the Comet is fairly simple). Probably about £400.
All the best

Put it this way. It is probably cheaper to put a new engine in it (at cost price) than to pay for the labour.
Why you need to know how much anyway? It is a warranty claim, you don't have to pay.
When the (Japanese) engine in my MZ let go, it was sent back to Germany, stripped and bench rebuilt with a new crank, bearings conrod, piston and cylinder head. I neither know nor care how much this cost them. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
