It's a twin, so not the most exciting of bikes, but does have more of a powerband than some. Don't expect supersports 600 performance.

I've quite enjoyed mine, handles well enough, riding position is good for me (raceyish but not too much weight on the front), has enough grunt to easily keep it's own and will just touch double the motorway speed limit (not really a good thing for me to have Neutral).

A lot of good deals around on them at the mo.

Relatively easy to ride, fairly low seat height, weighs a bit compared to sports bikes, but you don't notice.
Tank is awquard for doing rolling burnouts/donuts as it's a bit square.

Twins can be fun if you make the effort, I admit Smile:

they have a very loyal following.. ridden competently can see of the average modern 600 rider..

I know one guy who lapped an R1 twice on his at a trackday...

get some big carbs, and some nice fat pipes and it sounds gorgeous!

lots of pops-bangs on the overrun, and another mate's trx spits flame entering hall bends at cadwell Very Happy

I paid £930 for that one + £70 for a top fairing it was missing.

Needs cam chain doing, but that should be about £100 total.

Tsch, always bitching at the twins. It may not have the power but I reckon the way it feels makes up for it.

What, that it feels like it doesn't have power?

Ok, my zx9 is a bit of an extreme example, but it's got 50cc more - yet pulls a lot better at pretty much any point in the revrange. Massively so a lot of the time.

I did buy this bike as an alternative to a cb350 Smile.

However, saying all that, I would choose this bike over a sports 400 as an 'only' bike - a bit more power and weight, but you have instant power when you need it compared to the 400 that only have about 15hp less.

A good 'first big bike' and a good option for those that don't want the serious go of a sports 600 or above.

I've got four bikes at the mo.
Looking to replace my r6 with a SV race bike and the trx with an SV road bike to match it, for spares and possibly as a wet race bike.
Also got the zx9 which needs a bit of time to get an MOT and an RS250 that needs to be ridden (am tempted to try and swap for a mx bike for winter now Smile ).

Compared to the bandit I reckon it's actually got less low down power. However it does 'feel' more sportsy, though not as much as a new 'proper' sports bike does.
