It's a twin, so not the most exciting of bikes, but does have more of a powerband than some. Don't expect supersports 600 performance.
I've quite enjoyed mine, handles well enough, riding position is good for me (raceyish but not too much weight on the front), has enough grunt to easily keep it's own and will just touch double the motorway speed limit (not really a good thing for me to have ).
A lot of good deals around on them at the mo.
Relatively easy to ride, fairly low seat height, weighs a bit compared to sports bikes, but you don't notice.
Tank is awquard for doing rolling burnouts/donuts as it's a bit square.

they have a very loyal following.. ridden competently can see of the average modern 600 rider..
I know one guy who lapped an R1 twice on his at a trackday...
get some big carbs, and some nice fat pipes and it sounds gorgeous!
lots of pops-bangs on the overrun, and another mate's trx spits flame entering hall bends at cadwell
