i did my cbt and have a lovely little yamaha rxs100. but i already want a bigger bike! (that isn't 2 stroke and doesn't have 6v electrics!) i was wondering how hard the 'A' test is and what bike to get??

i need something big, size more than engine size as i'm 6"3 what would you recommend?

As you probalbly know already when you take your test you are restricted to 33bhp. At 6'3" it might be better to get a restricted bigger bike. What sort of bikes do you like ?

yes, everyone wants a bigger bike after they have been on their little 125 for about a week or 2.
i lasted about a month or 2 though and cant wait till i get a bigger bike.
given your height id say anything over 400cc would be about right for you (that is if all the height is in your legs and not your body like me)

if your looking for something in the long run, it would probibly be cheaper to buy something like a 600cc and restrict it as i hear they hold the road better, personaly im going to either get a 400cc 4 stroke and restrict it or get something like a 600cc and restrict it, the new 650 bandit looks tempting though... but so does the hornet... ahh so many choices Twisted Evil
enjoy it whatever you get

i was looking for a street or a supersports type bike. i like the look of the vfr400's but my dad reckons that it would be too small for me Sad

i recently passed my test.

I have tried a few bikes. One was the gsx600f which has the same engine as the bandit and it was ok but not as good as a 250 scooter. The thundercat is completly different though. Its great. Definitely worth passing a test for. For a 250 scooter or a gsxf600 or bandit 600, i wdnt bother as a rs125 is more fun.l

i wouldnt mind a bigger bike but only for ride outs, my RS keeps you entertained for much longer than 2 weeks! saying that i will get a bigger bike when i pass my test, would say its more true for 4t 125's

I've been on my 4t 125 since March Embarassed. It's a nice bike handling wise, but i'm sick to death of having to pull 7,500rpm (in top gear) just to hit 50mph.

I hope the XR250R pulls 50 at a lower rpm Very Happy.

Hi, I too have the same size problem, I'm 6' 5" which is big when you like sports bikes, I wanted a GSXR 600 but was so uncomfortable! but then I sat on my current bike which is a CBR 600 FR (obviously you would have to have it restricted) but it is so comfortable, way better than the GSX that i tried.

the CBR 600 get a Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up in my books, coming from a fellow tall biker Mr. Green
