Of course the best place to ask is Carole Nash themselves!
If I remember correctly, they would want to know when you're going abroad and for how long. You have two separate numbers - one for UK breakdown cover, and one for E.U. cover. With regards EU cover, they'll take your bike to a garage first, and then if nothing can be done, they'll take the bike all the way back home. This is what I was told.
I can't remember if there was a "limit" on days you are allocated for E.U. cover, but I'm pretty sure you have to let them know when and for how long you are going in any case.
Speak to them.
Their UK beakdown cover service was quick and easy to use. |

The Euro breakdown cover is probably worth £80-£100.
However, one nasty little clause I saw in the handbooks small print was that if it was deemed more expensive to transport the bike back than the bike was actually worth they could leave it there
Still, that's a last resort and for what you're paying it's good value. |

They [any EU/UK breakdown cover service] love to include loads of hidden terms and conditions, which is why I would say speak to them.
We simply wouldn't know them all.
For example, on my old UK cover, they would only transport your bike a 30 miles radius from your location for free, the rest you would have to pay for. . They are all slightly different, some "worse" than others. |

Thanks for all of the advice guys. In case you are interested I have opted for the Carole Nash insurance cover for this next year so I can rest easy on the European Breakdown cover issue. Hopefully though I won't have to use it... ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |
