Welcome Wings
id go for the yams, either of them but the race rep will probebly cost more on insurance
the dna doesnt have gears, never heared of the first one and although the aprilia is probebly the best over all the parts wont be cheep nor will it be easy to get them.

piaggio zip's are pretty good, they dont look that amazing but if its just for getting around town its ok... not bad speed either. and always started first time, thats what i had for just under a year before it got blown to bits.

Que? Sprechen ze Angleterre? Wink

I guess that means its an advantage for you because it has gears which will make life easier if you plan to move to a bigger bike.

In all honesty i dont get why people are worred about gears on bikes, i found it the easiest thing ever, when revs go to top, move up a gear. simple.

speedfight 2! it has the added bonus of getting chavs on the side of the road to nod/wave when you drive past, click on my link in my sig and have a look! get a sports exhaust for the ultra chav experience, they can hear you for miles, well they heard me!#

seriously if you want "the fastest" prob need one with gears but i didnt see the point and learned the roads on a ped and then got a RS125 and learnt gears, there easy anyways and dont take long to master! Thumbs Up

back in my hazy youth i had a Suzook TS50 crosser which i loved, it was a 2t, looked like a big bike and never went wrong.

black and yellow was the best colour.

https://www.nkym.com/bike/photo/ts50%20n3.jpg

just about everyone wants an RS50 'cos their mate toldl them it can do 70mph, bollocks, its a moped and you'll get 45mph if you're lucky and i dont care what anyone says about it.

might as well get something that'll do 40 and wont blow up.

Anything cheap, that doesnt matter when you drop it and brake all the plastics.

Dont go spending loads of money on your first bike, especially when you know you're going to upgrade in a years time.

Piaggio scooters are good, as is the Peugeot speedfight, but mine is starting to develop some leccy problems... Just don't go near anything that has been tuned without a 50ft barge pole, unless they have dynographs, recipts, and you get it checked by a mechanic. If in doubt about a tuned machine, contact taffspeed with the modificatoins that have been done on it, they'll tell you if it'll live or not.

Sorry, assuming you're buying second hand here.

Seconded Thumbs Up gears are really easy! Provided you've never used a vespa before don't worry about gears, worry about your wallet for now.
