probibly something to do with the safety system that stops you from starting the bike while its in gear. is there a switch near the clutch lever that you may have disturbed?

Hi

On the Bandit the switch pokes into the lever, so if you just unbolt the lever and pull it out then you snap the tag off the switch.

Suspect it might be the same on the Thundercat.

All the best
