hi guys

im not realy up to speed to much on bikes ins and outs, but whilst im awaiting my bike test, my bike is standing, i start it up regulary and give it a spin etc, but after, smoke comes out the exhaust for a while, i havent noticed this be4 on other bikes, and just wondering is it a normal thing?

or could my race can etc have anything to do with it??

cheers scott

well this happens to me a lot but ive only ever owned 2 strokes which would explain it! Very Happy erm afaik i could be carbon deposits that have built up but this could be wrong, just make sure you ride it more! thats my excuse when i have a new bike i cant reide, when i brought my RS i did 14KM up and down my road which is tiny! reached 25mph tops then turned around.

Good luck with you test btw, got mine soon aswell.

It may be running rich because of the race can, thus burning more fuel and pumping out a bit of smoke from the end of the can.

My bike does that pretty much every morning that I use her, it's only condensation in the exhaust thats evaporating.

White smoke is water, and most liklely condensation in the pipe.

If you leave it running it will clear out.

Black smoke means too rich fuel mix and blue is oil leaking in somewhere.

Certainly won't hurt if it's only water vapour that's coming out.
