I bet it don't ride as nicely as the TTS supercharged GSXR thou, or the Holeshot Yamaha R1 they built a few years ago. Turbo bikes, are rarely very good IMO, especially if you really want to ride them hard on a track, or even going steady on the road. I remember a Turbo R1 video that was posted on BCF about a year ago, and it looked like the turbo had all but killed the bottom end power delivery. An R1 with not much go below 7k rpm, hell id rarther have a 'peaky' 600 instead.

If you can change gears fast enough. And if it doesnt throw you off as soon as the turbo kicks in. Smile

It wasn't a turbo (which they usually are), it was supercharged and running on 130 octane fuel. Apparently only 1 of 4 bikes that have ever got into the 7 sec bracket.

The gear change was operated by a handlebar mounted button. this activated a pneumatic ram which changed gear and held off the spark for 50-100milliseconds.

WOW Shocked Very Happy

There's only four bikes that can get to 180 within seven seconds?! That's mad. What are they?

Not sure on the exact detailing.
So here you go

PB - Nov 2005
This is a super street drag bike. Built, fettled and raced by Mark fisher of Greenhill Racing. it's also one of only four Super Street machines that have ever dipped into the seven second bracket.
Mark was awarded a little gold ring for that particul;ar milestone, given to him by Websters' Race Engineering. 'They're like Willy Wonka golden tickets, there were four to give away, and I got one ,' says Mark.

If you're really interested you could prob find out through Websters. Smile

mmmmm, nice.
I'll looking for something with a bit more 'poke' than my zxr400 for my next bike and that might just do the trick.

Does anyone bother turboing medium sized engine bikes? I am considering getting a zx6 after christmas and was also considering having a crack at a turbo conversion. I know it would be easier to just buy a bigger engined bike but i always fancied a turbo bike.
