Anyone got one?
If so, let me know what it's like, a review if you will, whats good and whats bad. What goes wrong with them and what to look out for if you were buying second hand. In particular, earlier models, 98-00
Cheers

I've got an Aprilia Tuono which is the same as an early Mille but with high bars and it doesn't have a fairing. Before I bought mine I had a test ride on a Mille and really liked it apart from the low bars and pressure on your wrists, I do a lot of town riding. When I told the dealer this he suggested the Tuono and after less than a mile I decided it was the bike for me. I wouldn't say that you need to be tall, I'm 5'9" and don't have any problems at all.
The bike has excellent suspension, chassis and brakes and the engine is great. I bought the bike from Bikerworld in East Grinstead, but I've used Southern Cross in North London for servicing (who are great, and even set the suspension up for me at no charge) https://www.southerncrossmotorcycles.co.uk/.
If you want more advice I suggest you try here:

Yes.
Afaik the Aprilia 1000cc 60 degree Vee is a dry sump engine which needs a specialist tool and specialist knowledge to even change the oil... Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

^6Yes, I'm presuming so. Vtwins are thirsty machines and I was willing to overlook that if everything else was semi-reasonable. Dealer only servicing puts that idea out the window I guess. |
