greetings from the desert southwest ...
i've been lurking on this forum for a month or so and figured it's time to say hello ... i live in the sonoran desert of arizona, usa where we pretty much ride year round ... i ride a beemer R100S which i thought at first was a bit much for just knockin' about around town, but i have had it for almost two years and am used to it now ... i am quite surprised at all the hassles most of u have to go thru to get MOT and license etc ... around here there is no inspection to speak of and if u can pass a simple written test and ride around in a circle u get licensed to ride anything u want ... piece of cake ...
anyway, u guys take care out there and keep the shiny side up ...

g'morn, and thanks for the cordial welcome ... a pleasure to meet u all ... that ol beemer is in a state of constant evolution .. since that pic was taken it has a few more stickers and a few more plastic critters attached here and there ... rats are not as common here in the us as they are in europe, but to me it is a way of personalizing the machine ... some of that stuff is even functional ... the ammo cans hold tools and oil, a gallon of milk and a few bananas ... yes, the seatcover is sheepskin ... that's probably the best thing that i have done for it. as summer temps in this desert can exceed 40C for months at a time ... cool in the summer and warm in the winter .. the temps now are about as perfect as u can get for riding .. 30C daytime and 20C at night ... the jag in the background is an '87 ... the last of the pinninfarina bodied jags .. wife's toy and quite fun in its own right ...
