hi guys,

i'm sure you've seen me talking about my best friend paul who rode a VFR400. he doesn't anymore. cuz some fucking twat decided to make an illegal u turn right in front of him without indicating or anything and paul went straight into the side of him.

luckily paul's not seriously hurt. bit of gravel rash and bruising here and there but not in much pain due to the fact the nurse injected morphine into his ass Laughing .

anyway the damage to the bike is pretty bad as you'd expect it to be from 50 mph to a stop instantly. the front forks are bent and one's even split right open, the wheel is damaged where the brake caliper hit it and his calipers have fallen apart. basically he's gonna need a new front end.

chris

P.S i'm gonna print this off and show it to him tomorrow to show how nice bikers are to one another

but yeh the hospital released him and then we headed down to the police station and filed a report and the truck drivers insurance company agreed to pay no battle or anything.

when we walked out of hospital he says i'm not even gonna sit on a bike again without full leathers, gloves, boots the works.

as for the frame me and pauls dad had a quick look over it yesterday and couldn't vesibly see any cracks or any signs of twisting still it'll need a thorough expect before we can be sure.

Glad to hear you're okay Smile

Getting sick of hearing about more and more people getting knocked off by numpties not paying attention ... seems like you would get banged up for closing your eyes and pulling the trigger of a gun in a crowd ... but closing your eyes while driving a cage seems to be ok ... although the outcome could be the same, i.e. you kill someone.

I've decided one thing ... if a twat in a cage pulls out on me/U-turns etc. and I can't possibly miss them ... then I'm going to do my best to put the bike through the drivers door ... soon see if the fucker does it again.

Rant over ... As I said glad to hear you are okay (relatively) and you'll soon get another bike on the road Smile

All the best ... BanditsHigh

christ your bike is fucked, shame, oh well at least you're still here to tell the tale anyway, amazing how little damage there is to the truck! I guess you weren't wearing leathers then?

do they actually exist? You could die if you give yourself too much, because it slows down your heart rate.

Glad your OK! Looks like you hit the truck at speed and were thrown clear. I guess it didn't happen in the UK but in one of the Gulf States...will they prosecute the driver, cut his hand off or throw him in a pit in the desert or take the view that he hit a foreigner and give him a medal?

They exist, put they limit the amount you can have. My mum was on it last time she was in hospital, it makes sure you can have any more than your meant to. It just saves the staff the time of coming round and giving the stuff out

Weird damage, truth be told id write the bike off and claim for its for value. Very lucky not to get severely injured, 3ft furthdown the truck and you would be eating lunch using your elbows....

I'm glad you're able to get around and do things so quick. Take everything easy for a while and get everyone to help the poor injured crash victim Wink

What *do* you think will happen to the knobhead that you went into?

Oh, and regarding that morphine device.

Yes they do exist, my mum had one when she had her sexual gubbins out.

I'm not exactly sure of the specifics, but I believe it works along the lines of you press the button, and more morphine, you get whatevers in the device, and then more slowly drips into the device again at an amount that is safe for you to replace the morphine you used. So you could press the button once every, say 10 minutes - a completely made up figure - and you get almost all of it. You press it a minute later and you get a tiny amount.

Hope that helped and made sense.
