does it started revving very high when you give it too much gas while moving? if so it sounds like you could be suffering from clutch slip, maybe you need to try to consider the type of oil you are using. i guess as you have just brought it you don't know what types in there though.

Gets hot as in overheats; what sort of temp does it get up to? As WN says, sounds like it probably needs a new clutch too.

You can use fully synthetic in a blade without any problems, the five I've owned have all run on it without problems. Sounds to me like the clutch has been fried by too many attempted wheelies
Try an EBC clutch, cheaper than OE and supposedly good.
