I was just reading froggy_girls post on future bikes when I came cross this:

Almost made my eyes well up: I can remember being about 16, sitting on an urban tiger and thinking "I have to get me one of these!" It's definitely the bike that made me want to start biking and twelve years later is still something I'd love to own one day.

So, what bike got you into biking?

When i was 16 my older mate bought a RGV 250 with lucky strike paint work and full Arrow system. I drewled over it for ages, bought myself a TZR125 then finally bought the RGV off him just before my 18th birthday. I'd love a go of it now!!

The GSXR1100 Slingshot.

One of my school mates was mad on bikes, and I was never really interested. Then I saw an 1100 and was hooked! Thats was 14 years ago now. Got a 50cc just after my 16th birthday and now I love bikes with a passion. Thumbs Up

for me it has to be the ZX9R! Iv only been into bike now for 5 years, owning for 2. Met a kid in a Geography class, we both supported the same footie team. Well now me n him are best friends, and im with his sister. So all good.

Any how, he showed me the picture of his dads X11 and i said i didnt like bikes with the engine 'hanging' out, so he got a pic of his dads old zx9r! In love! I said ye id ride something like that! 5 years on, what do i ride?

No bike in particular.

I just wanted to ride bikes in general because of the speed and performance (fun), and it was different to driving cars (of which I could only afford to run a crapper 1.0 granny car Rolling Eyes ).

oh, i will add, bikes are also cooler than cars! I love pulling up beside a chavy car, checking out the lass in the passenger seat, the drivers always try and look aggressive towards me but how can they if they can see my eyes!

i'm was always a bit interested just because they were different from cars, but when the R1 first came out i was in love i thought it looked so nice. Razz

I don't think i'll ever give up now, just being emersed in your environment rather than snuggled up and protected from it is enough to make me choose bike over car anytime.

I've always liked bikes from a young age, but the R6 was the one that got me into sportsbikes.

This the Urban Tiger?

Why this one over other Blades?

For me it was the MZ RT125, at 16 to me it looked like the dogs bollocks.
I still want one now tbh as a second bike, the most power 125cc 4 Stroke single availible in a road bike!
