Bogging Bugs, again

well i got my carbs out and cleaned them.

and put redex in the tank.

and redex down through the air intakes (like it says on the bottle)

although it runs better it still bogs down when you crack the throttle.

this makes me wonder if it's electrical.

but the battery is fully charged and is charging right.


any ideas?

Has it always bogged down when you crack the throttle; does it do it when you roll the throttle instead?

Sounds like fuelling issue?

it bogs at about 6k revs (with lights on) and 8k (lights off) i took the fuel pump off and cleaned it when i did the carbs this mornin.

it might be a fueling issue, is there any way of testing the fuel pump without blasting all my petrol everywhere?

Not really unless you have a Haynes manual, think this give a test for the flow amount vs time etc.

Have you had it dynoed, might be your best bet? They'd spot any problems for sure.

i haven't had it dyno'd and can't afford to till after my hols.

i got a haynes manual so will have a look.
