PostPosted: 19:44 - 04 Nov 2005    Post subject: FOR SALE 51 aprilia rs 125 29bhp Reply with quote

I have a aprilia rs125 for sale 51 plate

it was originaly a italian import and uk registerd from new (so no restriction on it at all)

one prevoise owner and has tax and mot (1st test) till april 2006
it also has a abletronics absolute pro-tec alarm and immobiliser (with certificate) wich cost £360 (norm £450)

ive had this bike since august this year and was very suprised at the speed it does (well im 13stone and ive got 120mph) it in perfect condition the only thing i would say was wrong was a few marks on the stickers

the bike is worth £2030 (parkers) https://www.parkers.co.uk/pricing/used_bike/valuation.aspx?deriv=5195&plate=68

with the alarm i think its worth more but im selling for only £2000

its just reached 10,000km
i only use the bike to get to and from work
The bike runs sweet and i always allow the temp to warm up (50c)
before i leave it.

im selling due to buying a car but sad to see it go (but ill be getting another in the summer Smile )

im in the west mids and you can contact me on 01952586772 (evenings only)

Thx for looking and call for more info

(im not selling my helmit or clothing due to me buying another next year)

You won't get that price here, or on eBay, or Trade It, or Bike mag, or in Harrods, I could go on. Wink

£1500 you'd get some interest, probably.

i belive this would be the true spec but im not shure about mine as it came straight from the factory in italy

Engine Type: 125 cc, 2 Stroke - Liquid Cooled - Single
Engine Bore and Stroke: 40.3 mm x 39 mm
Compression Ratio: 12,5:1

Ignition System: electronic with fixed spark advance CDI
Claimed Horsepower: 29.92 hp (22.1 kW) @ 8000 rpm

why would i sell this bike for 1500 when you can get shite for that price look at what im offering and think..

it aint a uk aprilia its never been restricted its full power etc i could go on

people who are really interested in looking or testing please post rather than slate

(ive been to see dealers with the bike receipts log book etc and they have also told me what it is worth)

No problem, but allow me one more: Razz

It being an import isn't generally a good thing.

maybe so but can i just say this. why would it be a problem if it was shipped over brand new from aprilia????

Infact allow me one more you being the aprilia125 Guru an all!!

YOUR PROFILE
I used to ride a 50cc Yamaha Jog R which was as boring as sin and made me actually want to crash when riding it. However, it was enough to give me the biking bug and my main ambition now is to buy a bigger bike. I have decided to SKIP the 125 stage and do my DAS as soon as possible. I'm currently saving for that and my next bike, which will either be a Kawasaki ZX6R or a Suzuki GSXR600.

i rest my case now anyone intrestid in buying a bike???

Its an import, no matter how you try to dress up the wording. Imports are worth less than proper UK bikes. Generally restricted totally standard UK bikes are worth the most, they appeal to the biggest market, being legal and having the potential to be derestricted.

£1500 sounds about right for what is now a 4 year old bike.

You sound the chav. Learn to spell correctly!

Look at eBay and look what the going price is! I'd say £1400 - £1500!

The fact its an import also puts up the insurance, which is dear enough to younger people! Karma Neutral

You may ride a 125 cc or less learner legal motorcycle (less than 11kW/16.6bhp) as a learner, with L plates provided that you continue to hold a valid CBT certificate. You may not carry passengers or use motorways etc.

ah well how would they know unless you blast past them at 120 Smile

Not really true m8
its classed as a common import. in other words it a bike that is normally imported to the uk and not a one off import therefore insurance companys dont make a price hike for the bike.
i have had first hand exsperiance of this.
