Custom paint jobs.

Inspired by other threads.

Do you like custom paint work?
Is your bike custom sprayed?
If so who sprayed it?

IMO some custom bikes look fairly nice, origional. Race reps are good in moderation, and depending on what bike it's on.

I'm starting to go off mine, but at least its a one off, there isnt another RS50 with this EXACT paintjob Laughing

(only because they have missed bits, used different colours to factory paintjob)

I think people who go out of their way to get custom paint work simply for the hell of it are too self-important to realise that no-one gives a shit whether the paint is standard or not. Razz

If i was going to get a custom paint job, i'd design it myself - that way i know nobody else has it, and it's my design on my bike, which i would probably paint myself. Therefore the satisfaction is huge. I've already resprayed my scooter (acid green is not a nice colour) steel grey & black.

I think if done well race rep paint jobs look smart, but I would never do it. The problem is that the race teams change paint jobs so much that the design looks dated very quickly.

It also lowers the value of the bike.

also bare in mind most people who customise paint or other things,normaly do it for enjoyment/individuality...not for money

I like the RS 50 thats a nice paint job.

I think it does depend a lot on the bike, if i see a bike thats been done in good taste it catches your eye.

I saw some excellent bikes last year at the H's Cafe in barham and saw some excellent Race Reps that really stood out but in a good way. Mostly it comes down 2 personal preference...
