That exposed feeling...

I know most people feel less secure on a bike and more fearful for their own safety. When i'm riding i feel so unbelievably safe compared to when i'm in a car and someone else is driving. Am i just a bit wierd, or does anyone else get this feeling?

yea, i dont think it that dangerous but when i say rode to college and think about some of the overtakes/speeds i relise how dangerous my riding is sometimes, even since i got my license and all the training i hate being drove by my mum, she cant drive at all and just keep saying stuff without meaning to.lol.

you never know you might feel even safer when you get your licence and a bigger bike

sure i prefer to be in control, but I always feel safer in a car than on a bike.

Sounds stupid, but i feel safer on the bike then in the car. On the bike I feel more like im in control then in the car,

done get me wrong its not like i dont feel i can handle the car but cars can almost drive themselves these days and everythings so comfortable and you are behind a big screen, its easy to feel detatched from your surroundings.

But on the bike, if feels like im putting more input into it and im in full control, plus i could avoid more accidents as i am smaller.

Its easier to avoid a hazard on a bike, but if a hazard turns into an accident, the car protects you better.

i know wot you mean, i also get the feeling of more control when on my bike then if i was driving a car as i have more vision of my surondings but as far as being a pillon on a bike is a nightmare i hate it and i avoide it if possible.

Plus i can jump off if needs be. Hate being in cars. Hate tossers who tell me bike isnt safe.
