I did it too much once, and the whole bike shifted sideways then back again. I thought I was going to stack it, be careful.

I don't plan on doing it - not yet anyway I was just wondering whether it's something you can intentionally do, though mostly for show. |

My AR125 was great for throwing the tail out in the wet.
Your best bet is a supermoto though, was having a look at the marshalls at the bike show they were rear braking it its way round corners. ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |

I loved doing it when I had the 750, was quite easy to control the back. Its much harder on my little 250 now as its a bit to light so it all happens alot faster. I quite like backing into slow corners, most drivers tend not to stick to close to you after you do that in front of them. Quite liked spinning the rear up too when it was wet, but only to 3rd gear.
I've tried it a couple of times on the 250, but its no where near as easy as it was on the ZXR750. Takes a while to get used to it, and if I'm honest, the first time I 'rear wheel steered' was by accident, went a little to hot over a bridge and the roundabout the other side was closer than I expected , after that I sort of thought, well, that wasn't so scary, so started to practice it. Not like I do it all the time, but its nice to know how far you can take it if you do go in a little too hot! |

I've had the back kick out quite a few times.
When I started riding I sometimes had the clutch in going round corners and it kicked it out a bit, quickly learnt to not do that.
From pushing too hard it's slid out on me a few times, in the wet, but I've managed to ride them through, almost all of the times.
Can't see myself doing it with the brake. ____________________ Go back to bed - You have no rights - "Streetfighters ~ Mainstream motorcycling's crackwhore sister." |

You seem to be missing the point mrchips..or maybe I am, I don't know.
I'm not saying I want to do it, actually the thought of doing it scares the gu-jesus out of me. Don't like unstable cornering at the best of times. I just saw it on a few track races like on Fifth and Top Gear, and wondered if it was something that is widely practised. |

Looks pretty hard and i wouldnt want to give it a try. The guy on the R1 on Bendys video of 'Streetfighter Sunday 2004' at the Ace cafe does it on a public road and look pretty impressive too ____________________ chaff mans random tingz on loot
