Did you take the restricters out of the downpipe?
The top speed wont increase just from derestricting it, you'll need to play around with the sprockets.
Good luck ! ____________________ 125 trail bike, custom bars, handguards etc. - ?500.

wel it should, because 55mph is about third gear, its not revving out fully. plus it had a electronic 60mph restrictor |

With the standard gearing you'd be looking at about 65/70 mph tops.
The exhaust restriction will be most effective restriction, get it out and you WILL notice the difference . ____________________ 125 trail bike, custom bars, handguards etc. - ?500.

From memory the DTR comes out of the shop with the power valve set to, half open.
If you get friendly with a mechanic (no gay love involved) you could get it set to open fully, after which you can go to www.dirtbikestore.com or .co.uk I forget and talk to them.
They have everything you need for the DTR to up rate the jets, exhaust system and sprockets.
Good luck ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

The DT is NEARLY UNUSABLE WITH THE POWERVALVE SET FULLY OPEN, YOU HAVE A BETTER TOP SPEED WITH IT SET 1/2 - 3/4 WAY OPEN. Have you checked compression? does it start easily? ____________________ 2012 KTM EXC 250
