No Spark !!!

Hi, I have a 1995 rs125 it was running fine until a couple of days ago then it stoped no spark at plug have checked wiring and its ok. Where do i go from here?

check main fuse/ plug/ht lead/ coil...

Firstly - Make sure the engine kill switch has not been pressed

Secondly - Change your spark plug

Thirdly - Check your HT lead.

Fourthly - Check your wiring around ignition and HT lead.

If noneof this works, then I have no idea what it wrong with it.

Get your manual out and make sure all of the main components are reading the right impedance value:

Stator coil, pulse generator coil, primary and secondary ignition coil.

If one is out of range, replace it and test again. If all is OK, it doesn't necessarily mean that the parts are fine, as I am finding out at the moment.

I have the exact same problem. All compoenets tested OK so I got a different CDI but still no spark

Thanks, i have no CDI on my bike and my coil has four wires(red,black,orange and green) my mates is 1996 and he has only two wires but he has a CDI i think i will have to get a manual any ideas were to get one??

Have checked the HT,Main fuse and the plug is new battery fully charged....

Though bikes needed a CDI? If they do, then that will be your problem, but maybe they dont need one. PM kickstart and ask him, because he knows everything there is to know about bikes.

Not all bikes have CDIs. Some bikes use points ignition timing, either magnetic or battery and coil.

This happened to my 1999 rs was at it for like a whole weekend in the end it was a bad earth on my coil just have a look around your coil

my coil has four wires going into it my mate has a 96 his only has two do you know which is the earth? also where i can get it checked

Of course you have a cdi! lol

On the rotax 123 engine the coil and cdi is one unit, if I remeber rightly its usually a dark blue colour under your tank!

thats a ducati make cdi your using
white is earth
i think green is ac volts
red is pulse
and the other is pulse
i cant get at my sheet at mo for specs but you need to do a test on the stator coils do u no how to use a multimeteras the readings will tell me what is going on

the colour of the wires are red, black, green and orange i have a multimeter and can check for dc volts and resistance thats about all if that will help.
