Ello Everyone, I finally got a Yamaha DT125 2 days ago. Not ligit untill december when i turn 17, but took it down the road today and i loved it apart from first gear because its restricted to 7000rpm Shocked

Gona do a few things to it...

Small tinted BikeIt Indicators (just waiting for the 2nd set)
New grips (got them free fromw ork Very Happy )
adjust headlight (its faceing the sky)
clean it up a bit
Get new bodywork instead of de-stickers
Dep Pipe when i have enough money!
and i think thats it:D

The indicators might look silly but they are visible. If the replacement ones are very small then be cautious, don't expect them to be seen as much.

Restriction is probably 12/15bhp not 7k rpm.

The bike just gopes mad when you hit 7000rpm in 1st

I didnt wonna go too small on the indys as i knwo they arnt visible then. The ones i got are much better then originals, there just right...

Very nice bikes those DT's. Quick off the mark too. Usually keep up with my RD anyway! Still can't beat me though. Expect to see the front wheel up a lot when its at full power. Weigh next to nothing those DT's, probably about the same weight as my RD, and thats on the back wheel most of the time off the lights etc hehe. Enjoy it, and dont worry too much if you come off, they're tough as steel!

Nice bike, i'm after a mid-late 90s 125 for just after christmas when i have the cash for it, I was actually considering a dt125 or a tdr125. Look like nice bikes to me, and nice for wheelies too!

Has it got a good service history?

Jack

Its a shame I can't do that on the RD. Sad The rear light doesn't stick out like the DT's so its not possible. Damn!

Your telling me that his bike will power wheelie and so does yours? Don't make me laugh fool. Laughing

I had a YZ125 race bike, i think it was pushing out about 42bhp and that didn't lift under acceleration. Wheelied off the clutch pretty easy though. Smile
