This is how it is on my Mum's CG125 BR-J, I'm almost 100% certain. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

In fact, I know that the lever horizontal pointing forwards is choke fully on, and the lever down is choke off, as my bike has the same carburettor and choke mechanism, just with a cable operating the lever rather having to manipulate the lever directly by hand. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

Funny enough i just happen to have a cg carb out at this very moment
Pushing the lever into the DOWN position allows the normal flow of air (so the choke is off)
Pushing the lever into the UP position restricts the air, giveing a higher ratio of petrol for easyer starting (so the choke is on)
My last cg would need slightly more or less choke depending on the weather, in summer or when warm it didn't need any, when cold it needed 2/3 clicks/just a bit past half way, any more, no start, any less, no start...
A new air filter and spark plug will make starting a little easyer, you'd be supprised the difference it can make... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

If you think the CG125 has good suspension, that Enfield must have been a hardtail! You'll be amazed at how much better larger bikes are than the humble CG. Having said that, the suspension on my 125 cruiser is hideously soft. ____________________ I must not be a troll...
