well today at about 1200, i phoned the garage, asked if the bike was ready, and yes it was!

horay i thaught!

got all my gear together, and got a taxi out to the garage, paid my bill, and got on her. the exhaust purring as i sat on it, MY CBR!

kickstand in, select 1st gear, look round carpark to make sure there was no traffic, let out clutch and accelerate.

Holy god does that thing have power! as soon as i let the clutch out im doing 20 miles an hour, so i pull the clutch back in, and gently coast out the gates, check the raods clear, accelerate, let clutch out, BANG theres that power again, i frantically pull the clutch in and brake to avoid the ditch on the otherside of the road.

this charade continues at every junction, until i reach a set of traffic lights no more than 5 miles from the garage, when

"chuga chuga chuga prrrrrrrrrr, kerput"

shes cut out! i try and restart her but, no!

i loof sheepishly at the cars behind me, signal and pull onto the footpath.

i phone the garage up and they recover it!

turns out i need a new reglator/rectifier!

the owner of the garage gave me a lift home.

get bike back on wednesday, i hope!

but the power of that thing! unbelievable!! i was in 1st, and rolled the throttle on a wee bit, and VROOOM, i was at 60, i decided to see what happened if i rolled her on a bit more, VROOOOOM i was at 80, and then i shat myself.

but awsome bike, cant wait to get a thourough ride on her and tell you all about it.

so far, seats comfy, mirrors suck, lights are good, gearbox is excillent, throttle is very snappy, but may just be due to me being a pussy on it lol

so all in all, Smile Very Happy Laughing Shocked Evil or Very Mad Confused Sad Smile Thumbs Up

With a dodgy reg/rec I'd be concerned about the state of the battery now as well, they don't usually do the battery a lot of good.

Is it restricted??

You must have yanked it back and be nearly at the redline to hit 60 in first and/or have no sense of time. Wink
