I was clening my brakes and erm one piston poped out and erm brake fluid pissed out, it pushed back in but have i broke it or will it be fine wen i refill the fluid ?

it shouldn't be broken mate but you will have air in the system now that will need bled as stevie mentioned.

By allowing the fluid to gush out you've effectively let a volume of air into the system. Allowing the piston to pop out is not a bad thing. Actually it tells you that they aren't siezed, which in winter IS BAD.

Do a bleed of the whole system - using the squeezy ketchup or shampoo bottle to create the vacuum and draw everything out. Then, once all the air bubbles are removed, bleed as you would normally for the last 2 times.

They're not broken if you're worried. You can put it down to experience.

Ooh, one thing, make sure the dust seals on the piston are intact. Come winter with all the road grit, it may foul the piston without it being in place!

sounds to me like you pumped em out as far as poss to clean and grease em because of the salt but over did it,
Im impressed that you popped the piston back in,,
give the break a good clean and bleed ant then check the piston for leaks, easy to do so not to worry,
doesnt sound like any worrys

well what caused it was right piston was seized so left one could move all the way and it just kinda poped out when i pumped it and yer the whole thing was covered in crap im not riding no more until nicer weather commin off hurts

Trick here is to leave the master cylinder/brake reservoir lid open. Seeing that you need to bleed the brakes anyway, it's not going to make a difference, but it will make pushing the pistons back a HELLUVA lot easier as you don't have to apply a force against a vacuum. Next time you're cleaning the calipers, stick a block of wood in between the pistons so that the piston doesn't go out fully!

the screws were stripped so i coundt drilled the heads off them without damagin the resvor in any way and unsrewed them with pliars so jst need som new screws
