Unless you buy a bike and make lots of mods including say a spondon frame then you're never going to get any individuality regardless of whether you buy a GSXR or something crap like a triumph.

according to this month's Bike magazine, top 10 selling bikes of 2005 were:

honda cbr125
gsxr1000
fireblade
zx-6r
bmw r1200gs
r1
cbr600rr
r6
sv650s
gsxr600

no surprises really.

yeah i would have thought cbr125 would be top as it looks nice and is cheap. I'm not a fan but I can see why it would sell well.

yeah sorry its the 1000 up top, the 600 was 9th...

...got the info in "BIKE" its the end of year sales for 2005...the order goes...

1. Suzuki GSX-R1000
2. Honda CBR-125R
3.Honda CBR-1000R
4.Kawasaki ZX-6R
5.BMW R1200GS
6.Yamaha R1
7.Yamaha R6
8.Honda CBR-600RR
9.Suzuki GSX-R600
10.Suzuki SV650S

A few other fact you might like to know...Honda sold more bikes this year than BMW, Harley Davidson, KTM and Aprillia put together.

The average UK biker age is Currently at 41.

There are around 1.52 million bikes on the uk's road and around 25% arnt taxed!!!!

The most bought "STYLE" of bike were sports bikes with nearly 30%

mate, I've got this month's 'Bike' magazine on my knee..... and it clearly says that the cbr125 is top, with the gsxr1000 in second Confused

but it does say that these figures are for sales up to oct 05, have you got newer figures from somewhere?

Deffo the CBR top, i too have the latest Bike mag and it clearly says

1 - Honda CBR125R = 2453

2 - Suzuki GSXR1000 = 2417

Not much in it so i reckon your reading an old version of the mag Thumbs Up
