If there was a fuel shortage because of Hemmel Hempstead blast would you sit in the que or risk the hassle by fitering to the front of the que in the petrol station?
I know if i was in my car i'd be pissed off if a bike did that.

I'd get out and deck you if you pushed past my car in the queue.

I found I could jump the queue a little as some drivers wouldn't use petrol pumps that were on the wrong side foe them. Worth looking out for unused pumps in these cases.

I'd have the cops on you for that.
But first I'd remove my can and wee number plate. Laughing

Depends how desperate the situation was, I can get a pump reserved for me if need be, so I would filter past on that occasion. Thumbs Up

I filter normally and find unused pumps, they don't mind that, but it may be different in a shortage.

I "filter" to an unused pump if its blatantly not got anyone waiting for it, but if i filtered past cars to their pump I would expect nothing less than to get punched in the face and told to fuck off...

I am with Sparks here. Unused pumps are fair game, but jumping a queue at others expense is showing zero respect. Would not surprise me if people get punched for it.

All the best

If they're too lazy to park in a position to use a pump on the other side of their car to the fuel filler, then they deserve to get filtered past. Razz Funnily enough, petrol pump hoses are designed to reach both sides of the car, and cars are designed for them to do that. Rolling Eyes

If there aren't any pumps free, then I'll just sit in the queue.

Honestly I've never experienced it. There's nearly always a pump free when I fill up, and I don't have to wait for any 'extra' cars, only fo cars at the pump, if it's full. Guess we're just quiet round here!

If we were all queuing for the same reason, I'd wait my turn.
Filtering is filtering - it doesn't slow the traffic behind you down, and you're not even going to the same places.
Pushing in is pushing in, taking what is rightfully someone else's place in the queue, potentially depriving them of the fuel I need so I can have a blast about on a full tank.

I'd sit and wait.

I do the same whether in car on on bike. Most people are so dumb they just wait for a pump to become available with the filler on the same side, where as they do actually reach across the length of the car quite comfortably. But, if they want to sit and wait thats upto them! Confused

Laughing Thumbs Up

Some petrol stations have short hoses now which won't reach the other side of your car.

And some, believe it or not, tell you off for stretching the hose over your car. Rolling Eyes

Straight past and wait for a car at the font of the pumps to pull away and leave a space which no-one in the queue could get to anyway. Don't like it? Too damn bad. Thumbs Up

I can filter to the front and use a pump in the time it take someone to go in and pay. When I've filled, I wheel my bike away from the pump. OK, so technically I've "pushed in" but the pump was going to be unused in that time, so who exactly have I caused to wait longer than they would have?

Maybe not fight, but I wouldn't be surprised if you come back from paying to find your bike lying on its side one day.
