sport's touring, kind of.

Im thinking of changing my gsxr1000k3 for a more pillion friendley machine. the reason being is my girlfriend like's coming on the back on long journey's. im thinking along the line's of a NEW fazer1000. Any opinion's?

Other than that, I would check out and get a test ride on all the sports-tourers offered by all the major manufactors and see what one floats your boat.

Fazers aren't known for being comfy... it will be better than the gixer but not much...

How money have you got to spend?

Personally i'd have a VFR850, king of sports tourers

Busa maybe, amazeing touring bike.


Theres allot of bikes aiming at this market, take a few test rides, have a good look arorund, dealers is be pissing their pants at the prospect of somebofy spending money this time of year so squeeze some good deals out of em, if they dont budge, somebody else will (even just going for free hard luggage e.t.c.)

How about a blackbird? its fast and great 2 up or a ZZR1200 VFR800, triumph sprint always got good reviews looks great too.


To name just a few.



If you can wait and have the money ZZR1400 its going to be a rocket and good for pillions, looks great too!

Guy off here is selling an immaculate blackbird in red JohnnyXX seen this bike a few times (and been offered a go on it )

Very good sports tourer, very pillion friendly and awsomely fast.

Oh and its a honda.

alex (pheonix) has had fireblades, currently has a gsxr 750, but is going back to a blade so his girlfriend will have a comfy seat

so maybe a fireblade is what you need

if you dont need something agile on twisties, go for the blackbird as i reckon it wd be better on long journeys

Even though it aint a sports tourer but my dad has a Triumph Tiger and that seems a good fun bike.

how about a ducati sport touring 2,3,4

my mates got the ducati st2 and we've done an 800 km round trip on it with me pillion and it's got to be the most comfortable bike i've been on oh and with carbon fibre race pipes, it looks and soungs the dogs bollocks!

I'd vote for the Blackbird. Havn't read a bad review or heard a bad thing about them, except maybe the funky braking system
