You have far too much money Wink
Other than that, I would check out and get a test ride on all the sports-tourers offered by all the major manufactors and see what one floats your boat.

Fazers aren't known for being comfy... it will be better than the gixer but not much...

How money have you got to spend?

Personally i'd have a VFR850, king of sports tourers Mr. Green

Busa maybe, amazeing touring bike.

Theres allot of bikes aiming at this market, take a few test rides, have a good look arorund, dealers is be pissing their pants at the prospect of somebofy spending money this time of year so squeeze some good deals out of em, if they dont budge, somebody else will (even just going for free hard luggage e.t.c.)

alex (pheonix) has had fireblades, currently has a gsxr 750, but is going back to a blade so his girlfriend will have a comfy seat

so maybe a fireblade is what you need

if you dont need something agile on twisties, go for the blackbird as i reckon it wd be better on long journeys

It (the 600 anyway) is one of the more comfortable machines I've been pillion on. It killed my legs riding it (the seat cut into my thighs after a while), but on the pillion perch it was plush, even if the view over the riders head was non-existent. More comfortable than a VFR750 but less so than a Thundercat (which did also offer a good view over the riders head), which is all rather odd. Perhaps the 1000 would be better for the rider?

It could have been something to do with learning how to ride as a pillion properly, using the legs and gripping with the knees rather than hanging on with the arms, but those woudn't really make much difference to the numb bum syndrome.

The most uncomfortable thing I've been pillion on was a Piaggio 250 scooter, the seat foam was far too soft and I felt like a crippled old man after an hour or so. Confused

I'd vote for the Blackbird. Havn't read a bad review or heard a bad thing about them, except maybe the funky braking system Thinking
