Hi guys,

Just crashed my CG! Well played me.

Going about 15mph into a car park round a tight corner downhill, next thing I knew I was on the floor and the bike was sliding away from me... First thing I thought was "Shit... My bike!"

Binned it in front of 3 scallies as well (Who didn't help).

Iceland staff came out to lock up, told them to watch out for the road

Had to bump start the bike, but it runs and starts fine now.

Knew something was going to happen, has been a shit ride all day.

What a muppet.

Damage to the bike:

Chunk of rubber from right hand footpeg

Right hand mirror nut knocked loose

Horn (Which had broken off of its mounting anyway but worked) no longer works.

Be very careful.

I was cycling yesterday and at walking pace over a double drain round a corner, not leant over at all really, front stepped out then back stepped out. Luckily I slid over the drain just in time so didnt crash, particularly as I had both feet in straps. Laughing

And the chavs just left ya eh?! At least they didn't try an rob ya bike while ya were on the floor - heard of that happenin where I used to live. Glad yr okay - most ppl come off at least once!!!!!

unlucky mate at least you wasnt being stupid when you did it then you would have been probberly laffed at by the chav's when you came off and at least you didnt damage the bike much

The damage is worse than I expected:

Ground down the front brake lever
Cracked open the headlight casing (It's warped now)
Front wheel is bent (Nearly lost the front wheel on the way back home)

So it's going into Millenium Motors on Saturaday to be fixed...

Sorry to hear about your bike mate. I didn't realise that anyone from St Helens used this forum. I've just moved back after living in Manchester for a few years. Do you not find MMC a little pricey? I've got quite a few friends in St Helens that will fix your bikes for a fraction of the price. They're all good lads as well. If you want me to put you in touch with them PM me.
