Getting fuel line off of tap

Right I need to get my tank off, however the fuel line is proving to be a bastard to get off of the tap, I'm pretty sure its not a vacuum tap, so are there any tricks to getting it off?

Hot water, if not then it is corrded on. Cut it off, clean the old bits of pipe off the tap and you'll be able to push it on again

how do I get hot water on it?

tried that, cant really poor it from a cup, too small a space, any other ideas?

It might be worth replaceing, its only like 50p per metre (nearby it is anyways)

Personally i get some pliers arround it (the part going over the pipe) and work it over and over till it loosens, then pull it off with my free hand...

At worst cut it off (but make sure you can get to halfrauds or the like)

Sorted it now, poored it from a bottle, didnt really help, so I got a knife and made a small cut at the end of the pipe, slipped off after that. That was an okay thing to do right?(The cut is only on the bit of the pipe that goes over the tap, so none should leak)

I'd get a new one if there is no slack in it, but if there is some slack I would cut that piece off completely, then use the rest over the tap

A pair of long nosed pliers and a little WD40 does wonders. Try levering it off rather than just pulling.
