I'll be going, not sure who with yet though. Lots of people would be horrendous, say 10 people came, keeping up/getting lost/crashing/finding somewhere to sleep is a lot harder for 10 than for 4 or 5.

thing is lots of people say they will go, but none of them do, check the skiing thread like 20 people 'all deffo going'. whos actually going ? me and mike.
80% of the people who say they will go wont.

so unless your really serious post, because i need to book time off workies and once its booked its booked.

Yeah I can't do June, my A2 Exams are that month and I really can't miss that.

Even may before could be dodgy unless I know how long you are planning on going for?

Ideally I would like to go July, but you are the master o' planneth of course. Razz

july is very very iffy for me, my job being very unfair, who ever has been there the longest has 1st pick on holidays most of them choose summer holidays cos they have kids.
also july means lots of people going on holiday to scotland, so it will no doubt be busy(er).

i was planning to go for about 5 days

Well I was thinking early July because that is before the summer Holidays in England. I mean I was thinking half term in May which is late May early June, but I have a trackday booked on 1st June.

If needs be I can always go to Scotland with my Dad in August or something so no worries.

The 3rd week in May is normally quite good weather wise. I would be interested in a wee tour if you are up this way. I would only be missing the motorway munching anyway, so no big loss.

The weather has been better in May/June the last few years, last year, 05, we had a very wet year.
From the middle of June onwards the midgies are out so if you're camping come before then.
School holidays start at the beginning of July up here, but the roads don't get too busy until the English school hols.
If you want any advice on where to visit, stay, etc. just let us know.
