Speed mods for a CG?

Might be easier to just get a bigger bike?

there loads of mods you can do:

Arrow Step 1: Pass test
Arrow Step 2: Sell CG125
Arrow Step 3: Buy bigger bike
Arrow Step 4: Learn how to ride it fast

and your going x10 faster than before!!!!

Seriously though there isnt much engine-wise you can do to a CG to make it fast, there not ment for that Thumbs Up

Not that you really have to worry too much about them on a CG Wink

If they can only do 30mph then maybe it's time for a service!

Keeping the chain tensioned properly will give more power to any bike, though it's more noticable on the smaller bikes.

Don't bother modifying them from standard as you'll bugger up they're main strength - reliability.

Helpful. Rolling Eyes
What speed can it currently do? What speed did it do before upgrading it with go faster stripes?

By your name im guessing your either near or in milton keynes.
The only thing you could do is perhaps change the gearing on the bike. Or as suggested, pay horizon training 400 notes and pass your test and get a bigger bike. Thumbs Up Thats what i did when i got fed up of 60 mph...

The difference between riding a 125cc and a 'big' bike is like chalk and cheese.

During my DAS I couldn't stop smiling and laughing when changed from Yamaha 125 to ER5 now got 750 sports bike, bring on the summer! Twisted Evil

I got the front up properly on my CG once, I built up gradually so as not to fling myself off (as if it could Laughing ). The winning formula was go very slowly, clutch in bring the revs up to about 9k and dump it. The chain didn't like it though, after about half an hour of trying to wheelie it was over 3 times the safe free play!

Nb, Roundaboutking.
I live in newport too, add to my bikelist a big red ex parcelforce van and you may know who I am. I suspect that one of you lives close to me.
As to buying a bike, I highly reccomend Grafton Motorcycles. Mrs Stalk got the CBR there and they have always given top service at all times.

Small world. I live in priory street near the care home. Your other half has a nice bike, if i could get insured on one i would be riding one now. Look out for a blue v-strom in newport with a small topbox on the back. Thumbs Up Just off to mission to get some biking clobber for the missus. Wink

Hiya Nb, I know you have passed notes with the OH before but I never knew you lived in a town called Newport. As you know the OH also rides a blue V-strom with a topbox and we also live in a town callaed Newport.....just its on the Isle of Wight! As you would expect your posting caught my attention.
