hi, im on a DT125r, going 85mph on motorway, suddenly BOOM going up-hill with sun reflecting off the road & sun going into my eyes. i honestly couldnt see a thing for a bout 4 mins, it was the most scariest ride of my life, i passed a HGV with my hand above eyes (like ur trying to see something great, hand arched above your eyes) and he waved!!!!
my question is....... can someone give me any tips of what to do when this happens (dont say "wear sun glasses") i thought it was very funny when the man in lorry thought i was waving to him...
Btw i've passed my test couple of weeks ago, so plz dont post stupid replys like "haha your on a 125 hehe get a real bike"
only reason i dont get a 400 yet is because i'd rather wait 4 months untill i'm 18 and save 200 quid |

Get a 600 though, be around the same price
Seriously though theres nothing much more you can do apart from get an insert, tinted visor or glasses i dont think. ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |

85mph on a wet road two weeks after passing your test? You're lucky the worst that happened was that the HGV driver thought you were waving at him!
Sunnies or tinted visor, quite a few tank/bum bags have slots for spare visors. Or, do what Strag suggested! |

After passing his full test not cbt so has probably been riding on a cbt for a while.
Nothing wrong with 85 on a wet road either as long as hes going in a straight line. |

Well, I would suggest slowing down before you reach the point where you can't see. Now you know that heading into a low sun on a wet road can leave you with seriously impaired visability, it wont catch you by surprise again. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
