Hi all !
I hope some one on here can figure this out for me as its doing my head in ! Evil or Very Mad

I changed the clutch plates on my 1989 nc30 import before christmas (Leaving them soak in oil over night, and making a socket to fit that stupid castle nut !!! )And only now i've got round to starting it up.
Usally it starts first time, but i think i've flattend the battery (got it now on charge !) with all the goes to get it to start.
The main problem is.... I've adjusted the cable so its like before and when i put it into gear and DIP the clutch the clutch is still enganged !
I've tried altering the clutch handle and the adjustment on the side of the engine, tried it in all the gears and pulling the clutch in - but it still "in gear".
To get it out of gear i rock the bike and select neutral as i cant use the clutch handle.

My brother said to try and leave it tick over and let the engine warm up for 15 min as the plates are new ?

Any one else have problems like this ????? Question

Cheers !
Richard moss

Only just needed to adjust biting point !

Yeah lol... always best to run the bike for 10/15 mins n let it warm up properly... n i found blipping the throttle a bit while doing this helped sort it out...

its just cos the plates create a vacum between em if u soaked em in oil so it needs the oil to expand to push the little air pockets out so the plates can do what they r meant to do Smile
