Yep, why not? Although I wouldn't recomend DIY bodywork spraying at this time of year.

Tbh, why keep it after you are 17? Just go get a cg125 or the likes of.

You can use the money you don't spend on the paintjob. Wink

Getting it resprayed properly will cost you a couple of hundred quid. If you've got the cash spare and you want to do it then do it, but it won't increase the value of the bike, it's just for your own satisfaction.
Good idea? Up to you mate, if it's gonna bring you pleasure, why not? Personally I'd not bother and get that 600 a couple of months sooner!

Strip and repair the pannels yourself. I did it on my speedfight. If the scratches are deep, take all the paint off, and fill them with halford's knifing putty. Haven't got a single ghost mark from my work, so it puts up with the hard as nails suspension (the nrg is a far better ride on shit roads), and the 2t vibration.

Doing the prep yourself will save you a lot of cash, though i'd recoment doing all the pannels yourself, there's only the rear two, front and bellypan (2 piece) on the NRG if i remember correctly, and they aren't that hard to get off.

If you do it yourself - DO NOT RUSH! The prep work will take a hell of a lot longer than the painting, and the finishing is just as important.
