I would give it a new plug and charge the battery first off. then work backwards from there checking everything as you go.
Plug cap: Tight fit, good state or repair, not full of water.
HT lead: No cracks, attached firmly at both ends.
Ignition coil: Good frame earth, terminals firmly attached, getting hot? Test the windings with a multimeter. (Coils can sometimes 'break down' as they get hot.). If you can, borrow one off someone else and try it in.
CDI unit: Tricky to test. Make sure all the connectors are corrosion free and making good contact. Easiest way to test it is to try another one on as you need either an expensive or very old fashioned (non electronic) meter to test the circuits.
Pulse coil: I would have thought this would either work, or not work. I did once have a bike where it came loose and wasn't close enough to pick up the signal, you would be able to see this. You can check the windings with a multimeter. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Make sure you check and eliminate the simple problems first, electrical connections, flat batteries and fouled plugs being most of those.
I was plagued for months with a misfire on my 125, and went through all sorts of rigamaroles trying to work out what it could be. By chance when it failed to spark all together, I noticed that a connector to the CDI which appeared to be connected, wasn't. I crimped it back on, and bob's your uncle, problem solved. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

download my file https://www.geneva-racing.com/~alains/NSRtips.doc and look about ignition bug . also check the CDI's connectors , especially the 4 wires which hold a black/yellow wire . this wire is the CDI discharge in the coil (and also your tacho feed) ____________________ the worst day fishing is better than the best day working |
