Winter riding is officially shite. (with pics)

ill put you out your misery first to say ive crashed my gixxer so you can forget the ha has and i told you so's.
Cut a long story short, road was wet sun was low couldnt see car braking, then put the brake on and it went down and slid into the back on an old golf.

Damage front faring is gone, headlight unit is gone, the subframe bit is bent the speedo is borked.
The R&Gs saved everything else, just front damage.

i really need a car .

yep, more pissed off what i did to my bike tbh,i got right up and done a luke from the bcf2003 vid then rode to the premier suzuki and told them to fix it, i dont think ill see much change out of 600 quid.

I've been on my bike all day and I had the same problem with the sun, almost every road I was on had the sun either in my mirrors or reflecting off the wet road.

Did a similar thing on my last crash. you really need to leave alot greater room for error in those conditions, that and with fine spray is a nightmare to ride in.

Should have smashed the back brake down first as well.

it might be better than you thought, when i binned my RS i though i had dont loads of damage and when i felt like looking at it again i relised it wasnt all that bad, HOPE this is the same as the GSXR

scratched the old gold, but no dents or cracks anywhere, as the bike slide under it, its my fault so ive gonna pay.

I agree with keith, gixer lights are really expensive and the clocks from suzuki are going to be ALOT also.

It might be worth ringing some breakers for those 2 items and possibly the subframe too. i would be willing to bet that the headlight is dearer than the front fairing.
