 |
|
hey,
i know most people are just going to look at this post because they cant believe someone would want to create a meet for L platers,
basically me and my brother are both on L plates, i have a 13 year old gp 100, im 17, he has bought a rs50, he is 16,
we live in hove, and notcied that there are a few nice little cafes and exellent views from the long parking road by the sea front in brighton,
ive always seen a few bigger bikes up there but nothing more than two or three at a time, i was thinging sometime in feb or march of putting together a meet, just like get that whole long stretch of road filled with bikes, big small, busa's and peds, anything and everything and just having a decent meet up there, i know its probably a dream, but does anyone know of anything that would stop that,
e.g. restrictions on bikes going there, meets that sort of thing, or just no one can be arsed, like i said, it wont be for a while untill the weather gets a tiny tiny bit warmer,
but gimmy a post back if anyone has any ideas about a meet around here!
cheers, bye ____________________ yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift |

Yeah I'm up for that (hopefully would have passed my test before feb though so no 'l' plate!) but I'm still on a 125.
As Davo has already said, we had a pretty good meet with 'l' platers a few months back, and it was a really good day! Here it is; https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=59136
So it would be good to have another rideout soon.

exellent,
well like i said it will be in a while, i have a few friends who are also 125 riders, i call them the grandad brigade, because like me they have grandad type bikes, sr125, cb125, and mine, gp100, haha, i also have about 6 or 7 other people who are up for it, so either way there will be a few of us at least,
the more the merrier, keep in touch about it and keep it alive for now and we shall see,
it will be a few weeks away at least, so get in contact with friends and family, and to be honest, the acctuall meeting place in brighton doesnt matter what bike you have, the learners as we are could go our way and bigger boys fly on their own accord,
would just be nice to see a few dozen or hundred bikes coming to brighton and then exiting again all at the same time, ____________________ yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift |

i could be up for this(not on L-plates anymore ), should have something bigger than my RS125 by then (although i think i would be fast enough for this meet!!) sounds like a laugh, the riding bit may be quite gental though. good idea ____________________ 99 RS125 --> 02 SV650s --> 03 Speed Four --> 92 RXS100 --> 93 CB400sf --> 01 CB600f Hornet |

| Quote: | 2. I dont nod at anything with L plates, not yet proper 'bikers' |
hahaha, you must be the only one around that doesnt my friend, every day i am out on my gp100 with l plates front and back, i go farting down the road with white smoke blasting out, and every single rider i have past has given me the nod, i had a cbr 600 rr, pull up next to me at the lights, i was shaking my head in shame and he gave me the signal to rev it up, i did, and he stuck his thumb up, as to say he approved, (mind you he then said to watch him and fucked off into the distance while still holding his thumb up),
my brother may have gone a little OTT on the whole respect thing, but other than that i totally agree,
jsut one quick question though, if you dont nod to "not yet proper bikers" why in the world did you even click on the post? fancie joining us or something?
and when exactly do you become a proper biker, i would have thought that you were a biker when you have a motorcycle, ok so we both have under 125cc motorbike, but there both geared, they both get treated the same as the bigger bikes, and they still get ridden on the road jsut as much, (maybe even more in some cases) than bigger bikers ride theres, ____________________ yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift |

Too many pricks on scooters in essex
When you go past (either over take or go past opostite ways) they jus sit there giving you a dirty look. Fuck em.
I never said the CBT was a bad idea Though alot of chavvy 16 year olds dont use any of the information given in them, was behind one on a straigt road and he started swearving for about 20 seconds or so (intentionally) from left to right in the lane...somtimes over very close to oncoming traffic before coming millimeters away from hitting the curb He decided to stop then...
I havnt said that ALL L plate noobs where little shits, and i still dont. But im suprised neither or you have yet said "shup my ped does like 80 init"
And the only time i ever had L plates when i was passing my test...  ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |
